    ABSTRACT. Ceramometal bond strength has played an important role for the replacement of gold alloys by nickel-chromium alloys in dentistry. This study evaluated the metal/porcelain bond strength of three ceramic systems (Vita Williams and Duceram) associated with three nickel-chromium alloys (Durabond, Lite Cast B and Resistal P) and one experimental cobalt . (ADA) has classified alloys into 4 classes on the basis of composition: high noble, noble, and predominantly base metal alloys, in addition to titanium and titanium alloys.1 Noble alloys are defined as having a noble metal (gold, platinum, palladium, rhodium, iridium, osmium, ruthenium) content greater than or equal to 25% by weight (wt%).
